aleo solar AG has reached a milestone almost exactly ten years after its formation: last week the total rated output of modules manufactured by aleo solar passed the one gigawatt mark – equivalent to the output of a nuclear power plant. The total power is spread across some five million solar modules.

aleo solar AG announces positive earnings for the year’s first half and lowers revenue forecast because of massively falling prices
9 August 2011 - Corporate Newsaleo solar AG (ISIN: DE000A0JM634) today announced that it generated revenue of EUR 232.0 million in the first six months of 2011. This means that aleo solar's revenue decreased by 16.2% compared with the first six months of 2010 (EUR 277.0 million). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) came in at EUR 3.4 million (EUR 29.3 million), and the EBIT margin was 1.5 percent (10.6 percent). Earnings per share amounted to EUR 0.13 (EUR 1.68); production volume rose to 161.6 megawatts (132.8 MW).

This means that aleo solar's revenue decreased slightly compared with the first three months of the previous year (EUR 96.5 million). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) came in at EUR 2.0 million (EUR 11.5 million), and the EBIT margin was 2.3 percent (11.9 percent). Earnings per share amounted to EUR 0.06 (EUR 0.64); production volume rose to 75.0 megawatts (60.1 MW).
